Participant rights
Your choices, voice and dignity come first.
People receiving support have the right to be safe, respected, informed and involved.
When receiving support, you have the right to:
- Be treated with dignity, fairness and respect
- Make choices and take reasonable risks
- Receive information in a way you can understand
- Privacy and confidentiality
- Be free from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation and discrimination
- Involve an advocate, nominee or trusted person
- Give feedback or complain without fear of disadvantage
- Know what services will be delivered and the agreed costs
